An exciting new publication. Together with René Glas and Jasper van Vught from Utrecht University we reported on our experiment with the use of Let’s Play video’s to engage museum audiences. The practitioner's statement can be read in the peer reviewed Video Game Art Reader.

During the Let’s YouTube game month, we programmed a ten-day exhibition with a focus on video games as Dutch cultural heritage. In order to engage a largely young audience with relatively old games we set up a Let’s Play station where visitors could record their own Let’s Play video’s. In the article you can read several effects of this approach as we observed people playing and recording their own gameplay.
