Rosa van Santen is manager of the department Storytelling. From 2016 till 2018 Rosa was responsible for the knowledge policy and knowledge infrastructure of Sound and Vision and the coordination of internal and external knowledge exchange in the field of our 8 knowledge themes. From this role she is engaged in the hub function of Sound and Vision within the Network Digital Heritage (NDE), and the networks AVA_Net and PrestoCentre, aimed at AV / media heritage professionals. She focusses on the target groups and users of Sound and Vision's knowledge and experience, and the exchange, availability and presentation of knowledge on the 8 themes.
She studied political science at the University of Amsterdam and obtained her doctorate at the Amsterdam School of Communication Research with her dissertation Popularization and Personalization: A Historical and Cultural Analysis of 50 Years of Dutch Political Television Journalism. She has worked as a researcher and lecturer at Leiden University and as a consultant and project lead at the Dutch Media Authority.
