This track is mainly composed out of 3 samples from the Netherlands Institute for Sound & Vision archive. The melodies are processed samples from a squeak of a truck tailgate during the construction of the Delta Works and a squeaking sluis recorded during a sailing trip in the North Sea. The drums are all made out of the sounds of a waterpomp used during the closing of an estuary near Oudekerk. The track's title is derived from the Province of Zeeland's motto "Luctor et Emergo" (Struggle & Emerge). The Lakker EP will be out May 13 on R&S Records and was made in part by the Netherlands Institute for Sound & Vision's RE:VIVE Initiative, bringing together the worlds of archives and electronic music.
